You were born into a secluded and natural civilization. It's prosperity and rapid advancement aided by some powerful force - be it an artifact, local animals, or mystic precipitation. Suddenly and inexplicably, this source of prosperity was lost or stolen. Many of the youth have left in search of an answer to return the balance.
It may be that the rains of mana, or a river of dreams has run dry, perhaps an heirloom or shard of obsidian was stolen. Whatever it may be you have decided to leave the tribe in search of an answer.
You - like all the rest who have left the tribe - carry a marker of some kind, something friends and enemies alike will recognize, maybe jewelry or tattoos, a unique weapon or hairstyle. Search for them in your journeys, to share what you have learnt.
Even if you have left your tribe behind, you hold to the traditions of your people. You will never cut down a still-living tree, and you may not support such an act being done in your presence. The ancestral mounds - great hills where significant battles were fought and where heroes are buried - are sacred to you.

You have an excellent knowledge of not only your tribe's territory, but also the terrain and natural resources of the wild. You are familiar enough with any wilderness area that you can find food and fresh water for your party, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.
You can always recognize a druid, especially a member of your tribe, or any other known tribes or circles. Additionally, you can call upon the hospitality of your people, and those allied with your tribe, often including members of the druid circles, tribes of nomadic elves, the Emerald Enclave, and the priesthoods devoted to the gods of the First Circle.
