The stars have chosen you for a higher power, whether you realized it yet or not.
If you are sleeping under an open starry night sky when you attempt to take a long rest, instead of sleeping or meditating, you may instead perform light activity such as keeping watch, reading a book, or gentle humming. In addition to this, you are also only required to rest for half of the time it would normally take you to do so, and gain temporary hit points equal to your CON modifier for four hours after resuming normal activity.
If you are sleeping indoors at night, you retain the temporary hit points and halved rest time, but are required to meditate or sleep during that time instead.
If you are attempting to sleep during the day, you no longer gain temporary hit points, your time for resting is normal, and you must sleep during that period even if you normally would not be required to.
