Chronicler Image

You grew up reading tales of adventure, war, heroes, and corruption in local books and chronicles. At a young age you took up the pen, writing fluff stories for yourself and others, but quickly grew tired of simply writing. At the first opportunity to jump in with a wandering band of adventurers, you didn't hesitate.

Known to occasionally step back from a fight to jot some notes to write about later, you often decide whether to undertake a quest based purely on how good of a story you think it'll make. You write about everything that happens in your adventures. You may keep these journals for yourself, or ship them to publishers or libraries later. From scandals you uncover about local politicians to bar fights you get into with your companions, nothing is off limits. Because of this, you may make some enemies along the way, but it's a good thing your exploits and tales gave you friends in high places.

Feature: Researcher

When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
