Since you were young, you have had a unique bond with birds. You seem to understand them to a degree to which no one else can, and they in turn have followed you your whole life. Growing up, you learned that you were able to use this special connection to train and befriend your avian fellows. You might have become an official falconer at a royal court, for an army or mercenary company, or a freelancing tamer, to sell services and trained birds to those willing to pay. Maybe you even took apprentices under your wing and showed them the ways of taming Birds of all kinds, but none ever showed the same promise or talent you seemed to inherently have.

d8 Special Bird
1 Pigeon
2 Eagle
3 Raven
4 Crow
5 Hawk
6 Owl
7 Vulture
8 Sparrow

Feature: Ornithologist

As an experienced Ornithologist, you have advantage on handling birds of all kinds. Every Animal Handling check involving birds can be rolled with advantage. Your bird companion is fiercely loyal, and will obey any directive given to it to the best of its ability -- including scouting, fighting, and delivering messages. You are able to dispatch your bird to deliver written messages to people you have met. The individual must be known to your bird, as well as the general area the individual is to be found. Your bird companion can also convey basic ideas and messages to you. When your bird companion reaches 0 Hit Points but is not killed outright, it falls unconscious and starts to make death saves (also as if it were a Player Character).

Suggested Characteristics

You are often mesmerised by nature. So much as the twittering of a bird can get you drifting off into a world of your own. But you're very quick on the draw when it comes to protection. Those near you, particularly birds, must survive at all costs. If they don't, someone will pay.
