Escaped Slave Image

You were, until recently, forcibly beholden to a person or organization. Whether by your own ingenuity, your former master's generosity (or misfortune), actions of concerned friend, or some other circumstance; you're now free.

Was your freedom granted to you, or will someone be pursuing you in an effort to return you to your master? Did you escape in the night, or were you freed by a benevolent visitor?

You begin your adventuring career with enough money to live modestly but securely for at least ten days. How did you come by that money? What allowed you to break free of your desperate circumstances and embark on a better life?

Skill Proficiencies: Survival, Deception
Tool Proficiencies: A simple instrument.
Equipment: A small knife, a token to remember someone by, a set of common clothes, and a pouch containing 10 gp

Feature: Unseen In Plain View

You know how to disappear from sight and appear unobtrusive to almost everyone. With time and materials, you can disguise yourself and a small number of willing creatures as servants or slaves to escape attention. Preparation time and any skill checks made are at your DM's discretion, but any checks to blend in after the fact are made at advantage, as long as the party goes along with the act.
