You are/were a last line defense in the protection of something very valuable or someone very important. With an intimidating presence and keen mind for picking out those who were out for whatever or whomever you were protecting. Rarely anyone escaped with their lives after an encounter with you, and even fewer escaped without something to remember you by. However, those that did escape or managed to slip by and take what you were guarding, you were able to track them down and recover what it was they stole or enact a person of powers revenge.

If you would be rendered unconscious or bleeding out due to any external force in battle you instead go to 1 HP unless that force would kill you instantly. (This includes things such as poisons, being hit in the head by a rock that does not crush in your head, a sword blow through the stomach, an arrow to your chest, etc.) This ability can only be used once per long rest. At level 11 it can be used twice per long rest and 3 times per long rest at level 20.
