Perhaps you've been sentenced to death or imprisonment should you ever return, or perhaps you were simply strongly encouraged to leave and never come back. As you left, you could feel the disdainful eyes of your used-to-be friends, family, and neighbors follow your back, urging you on. You no longer have a home there, so you set out to find a new one.

You can relate to the poor and downtrodden folk of any city and they are more willing to trust you, help you, and impart secrets to you. You are also able to find a way to live even if you have nothing. You know where to scrounge for food and where to safely take shelter for the night when you have no money to pay for food or lodging.
