You have spent your early life learning at the feet of one who has perfected the art of killing monsters for the sake of the common people. While your childhood cannot be described as traditional, it has prepared you for a very blunt truth that many are ignorant of: the world has monsters, and those monsters do not show mercy. And you're the one prepared for them.
New Monster Slayers, when deemed sufficiently trained by their master, are branded with a Crescent Moon on their neck, so they are quickly identifiable to those in need.
- Skill Proficiencies: Medicine, Nature
- Tool Proficiencies: Herbalism Kit, Poisoner's Kit
- Equipment: A crossboy (heavy), crossbow bolts (20), a vial of Antitoxin, a bedroll, a longsword or greatsword
Your status as a monster slayer is plainly visible to any who see the Branded Moon on your neck. Commoners in small villages will seek you out for jobs they need done, and will pay you much more handsomely than they would another adventurer due to your pedigree.
Suggested Characteristics
The life of a monster slayer is marked by the hardships of the training they have undergone. A monster slayer must be as ruthless as the monsters they face in combat, and there is always the risk that that will bleed over into their interactions in moments of peace. It is up to the individual to fight that impulse, or give in and damn the consequences.

Contacts
Monster Slayers are not an officially recognized group, but they do have loose connections with each other. A living master, for instance, is an invaluable resource for young Monster Slayers striking out on their own. Beyond that, there is loyalty among all who share the Moon Brand, and if called on, any available Slayers will usually offer aid.
