Suggested Characteristics

Being a rural doctor is a calling. Often you are the only healer in the area available to tend to the sick or injured and your skills could prevent someone from ending up disfigured, crippled or worse. Even tending to farm animals could mean protecting the livelihood of that farmer and his family, keeping them from losing the farm or starving to death. You are seen as a valuable resource an treated with respect but even so, you are often paid for your work with a few meager coins, a chicken or some eggs, milk or cheese, a bag of flour or loaf of bread, or some other humble item or service. You find your biggest rewards in service to people, the community or even your god.
