While upon the seas, provided you have the materials, you can perform repairs on a water vehicle equal to 5 times your level without performing an ability check. The vehicle cannot be repaired again this way until it has been pulled ashore and fully repaired.
Whenever you attempt to repair a water vehicle or make an upgrade or an addition to it, you have advantage on the ability check being made.
