When you were young you had everything ripped away from you. You may have been nobility, the child of merchant or simple peasantry, but whether through betrayal, war or famine you lost all. You then spent time on the streets alone, orphaned, and poor. You had no one to watch over you or to provide for you, you learned to provide for yourself. You fought fiercely over food and kept a constant watch out for other desperate souls who might steal from you. You slept on rooftops and in alleyways, exposed to the elements, and endured sickness without the advantage of medicine or a place to recuperate. You survived despite through cunning, strength, speed or some combination of each until the Witchers of Kaer Morhen took you in. There they trained you to physical and mental perfection.
You begin your adventuring career with enough money to live modestly but securely for at least ten days, did your order give you that money or did you steal it? Have you been sent out on some mission by your order or have you left them? If you left them did you leave on good terms or are you on the run?

You know the secret patterns and flow to cities and can find passages through urban sprawl that others would miss. When you are not in combat, you(and companions you lead) can travel between any two locations in the city twice as fast as your speed would normally allow. You have an excellent memory for maps and geography and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. In addition you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water and so forth.
Suggested Characteristics
Foundlings are shaped by lives of loss, pain and desperate poverty, for good and for ill. They tend to be driven either by a commitment to the people or order that lifted them up from a life privation on the streets, or by a burning desire to make best use of their new found opportunities to make a better life for themselves- and maybe get some payback on those who initially took everything away from them. Often considered rude and uncouth among civilized folk, foundlings have little respect for the niceties of life in the cities.
