Youth Pastor Image

You've devoted much of your early life to the praising of some god or another, usually in melodramatic, hip-with-the-kids fashion. Maybe you were a sinner who had lost sight of your god before turning your life around. Maybe you've always been a pious soul. Either way, it led you to becoming a youth pastor, channeling much of your energy into proselytizing, preaching, singing, and leading parish retreats all in the name of your god.

Skill Proficiencies: You know how to use the power of guilt and sympathy (deserved or not) to your advantage. You have also learned petty sleight of hand tricks to impress the children of your parish.
Tool Proficiencies: You've learned to play an instrument of some sort, so as to aid in you in praising your chosen god.
Languages: You have picked up another language to be more effective in proselytizing.

Feature: Tool of the Church

From your days as a youth pastor, you have gained favor in the eyes of your church for helping to spread the word of their god(s). You can always find shelter within a church from your religion.

Suggested Characteristics

Youth pastors are wholly obsessed with their deity. Much of their waking life is done with deference to this deity, or the church, and typically they lack the willpower to act without consulting these religious foundations. They are however, effective at their jobs. When dealing with people, they know what they want and how to get it through persuasion, guilt tripping, deception, or even pity. Unlike run of the mill charlatans though, they truly believe the things they say and are some of the most trustworthy people.
