As part of your pact you are required to offer up a fresh soul to your patron each year. This soul acts to keep your current form anchored to reality. Without this sacrifice, your form becomes unstable and everything you are will be once again shredded. All proficiencies must be rerolled and your race is to be randomly selected by the DM.
