This marking brings forward curious looks and remarks from others. Whenever you enter a new place both common people or nobles are more interested in your past life then usual, this often might grant you easier access to people of importance or maybe the looks of the guard or a crime lord. Furthermore people will recognize you easily when you return to a place you've been before.
