Forgotten Image

You are no one. Unknown by all but the mother you never met. You were raised on the streets and back alleys for as long as you remember, fed by any soul kind enough or with any to spare, taught various tools of many different trades-both legal and not. You were never shown basic human decency from those who don't share your lifestyle. You would be considered rats by the higher classes, but, well, you don't exist. Not in the eyes of the law or in the eyes of its people.

Skill Proficiencies: Your given proficiencies include stealth, sleight of hand, and survival. Choose one (1) extra proficiencies from Deception, persuasion, and acrobatics.
Tool Proficiencies: You are proficient in one type of gaming set, thieves' tools, and a choice between a Disguise kit or a Forgery kit.
Languages: You pick up quite a bit from casual eavesdropping and dealings with crooks of every race. You know Common, Elvish, Dwarvish, Infernal, and Halfling. Pick one (1) extra to complete your extensive listing.

Criminal Specialty

Due to your less than legal upbringing, you were taught-well, shown- the different paths you were likely to take. There are many kinds of criminals, and within a thieves’ guild or similar criminal organization, individual members have particular specialties. Even criminals who operate outside of such organizations have strong preferences for certain kinds of crimes over others. Choose the role you played in your early life, or roll on the table below.

d5 Criminal Specialty
1 Blackmailer
2 Burglar

Feature: Underworld Contact

You have a reliable and trustworthy contact who acts as your liaison to a network of other specialists. You know how to get messages to and from your contact, even over great distances; specifically, you know the local messengers, corrupt caravan masters, and seedy sailors who can deliver messages for you.

Suggested Characteristics

Forgottens, despite there extensive criminal connections, are not all inherently EVIL. Most tend to lay low in the NEUTRAL zones; yet most, having been abandoned by any help from the governing power or laws, find themselves on the more CHAOTIC side of the spectrum. This is not a requirement as some choose to fight for good and others to uphold the law. But those are few and far in between. Most drift into Villainy, happily embracing EVIL.
