Lost Child Image

I was lost, but then I was found. I was taken care of, but none around me know where I come from. I've learned soon to fend for myself and to find my way around the world. Some Lost Children grew up in urban areas, others in the wilderness, and some even in more specialized settings, such as a monastery or cult/tribe. Lost Children are prone to defensiveness and  spur-of-the-moment decisions, and usually start their adventuring life very young (usually before or at the cusp of adulthood).

Coming of Age

An event took place during your late teens or early adulthood that removed you from your familiar surroundings and launched you into a life of adventure and learning. It could be a literal 'coming of age' moment if you have lived in a tribal or cultish setting, or a more sudden and possibly violent situation, such as being arrested for the first time as an adult, the destruction of your surroundings by an invading force, or a forced separation from someone you grew fond of.

In any situation, the Coming of Age is what launched you into the wide world out there, and now you are trying to make the best out of it.
