Artificer's Apprentice Image

You have been highly trained in mystical lore of the multiverse and the critical thinking needed to analyze anything. Your master was methodical in teaching you as much as he could about how devices work and how they are constructed. You have studied to identify the substances of which matter is composed. You have learned the properties and ways in which substances interact, combine, change, and the use of these processes to form new substances. With these teachings, you have become an expert craftsman and a learned journeyman.

Skill Proficiencies: Arcana, Investigation
Tool Proficiencies: Alchemist's Supplies, Tinker's Tools
Languages: None
Equipment: A set of traveler’s clothes, a set of alchemist's supplies or a set of tinker's tools, a book of lore, and a belt pouch containing 5 gold.

Feature: Inventor

When you attempt to recall a piece of crafting lore or invent something new, you can spend time researching to figure out how to accomplish it. This research often comes from a library, a scriptorium, a sage, a university, a master craftsman, a guild, some other learned person or creature, and sometimes from within your own mind. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Discovering a formula for a new invention can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
