When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of research, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, university, or a professor or other learned person. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the science can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
Also, due to your eager use and replication of fear toxin, you have given yourself a resistance to fear itself, giving you advantage on saving throws against being frightened.

Posted Sep 26, 2020I was trying to set up a DC Batman campaign setting, but it never really worked. One of my players wanted to play a character that had studied under the villain Scarecrow, I think it was a flavouring of archfey warlock, and I had a load of stuff planned: new villains and tie ins to the actual comics, like the court of owls and Penguin. Now that I think about it I might try it out again
