Prison Shadow Sentinel Image

You have served the prison where you were hired, standing as its first line of defense against crime without most of people knowing your existence. You aren’t a soldier, your code of honor is less strict: your job is to prevent others from escaping, causing important troubles or compromising the integrity of the prison. This applied to everybody, may it be future accomplices outside the prison, guards or prisoners and you used any necessary means to accomplish your job. Your service to your prison was to help the guards maintaining order inside the prison from lawbreakers and malefactors silently and effectively.

You might have been part of the lawbreakers in the past, proposed your help for a salary, or were forced to do it, but decided to become the best of all in what you did. Maybe you come from a family that does this kind of work for generations, maybe you come from nothing and just wanted to repay your debts, only you knows.

Perhaps you did this in a precise goal, as saving someone confined in the deepest part of the prison. Or you wanted gold, fast without chances of getting arrested, working for the city in its shadow.

Even if you’re not city-born or city-bred, this background can describe your early years as a member of law enforcement. Most settlements of any size have their own prison and police forces.
