You were sent from your native lands in order to procure peace treaties or trade agreements or both.  You were trained in diplomacy and self defence in case of bandits or monster attack. You may have a noble tital but it's just for show still your status allows you to speek with the nobility(with some fumilerality) of whatever land you are in as well as potisen the court for the people (or corrupt noble power plays) you still need to file the proper payper work though.
