You have lived a normal life, you never expected something like this to happen, well at least not to you.
Through misadventure or misfortune you have lost at least one of your limbs, how has this changed your life, your career and how you face the world.
You lack the ability, time or money to be able to regenerate the limb that is lost and have had to learn to cope, how you have adapted is a testament to your skills, strength and personal resolve.
Did you find faith through religion, Or learn about health and medicine from your experiences, have you developed an ability to see the world through a new lens to do what you need to do, and determine how you will let this alter your life.
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from among Medicine, Investigation, Religion, or Insight
- Tool Proficiencies: Talk to the DM to determine what life you lead before the incident.

- Equipment: A set of common clothes, One set of modified artisans tools and one trinket of previous life in addition, after your incident you have obtained a prosthetic limb made of wood and metal worth 10 GP.

You cannot be proficient with any weapons or tools you hold in your prosthetic hand, nor can you be proficient with unarmed strikes made using your prosthetic hand. ---|---|
1 | You sustained a minor injury and it became infected |
2 | You were in a farm/ workplace accident. |
3 | You were in a fight, your limb was injured and had to be amputated (You are to blame) |
4 | You were in a fight, your limb was injured and had to be amputated (You are blameless) |
5 | You were cursed/ the limb was lost as a concenquence of a magic gone wrong. |
6 | Cancer of the limb meant the amputation was the only way to save your life |
After your incident you became very good at reading people, seeing sympathetic looks and understanding eyes and pity, so much pity.
Your injury is not easy to hide and you know where you can find a sympathetic face in each town, and recognize those sympathetic to your situation readily and quickly. These people will provide you a place to hide, rest, or recuperate unless you have shown yourself to be a danger to them. In accepting this help however, you also must accept the pity, the exaggerated concern and distrust in your skill and ability. They will underestimate you and you will have to work harder to show you are capable, that you are able to do anything they can.
You can readily find help and aid, but it may cost you a little of your pride.
