You understand the art of the deal, and how to come to agreements with even the most hot tempered of tyrants. You carry a noble title, and you may own land, though your line of work keeps you traveling quite extensively. You travel from nation to nation, discussing and coming to agreements with various monarchs or governments on behalf of your own. From where a road could be built, to possible peace treaties to end wars.
Work with your DM to come up with an appropriate amount of experience your character may have as a Diplomat. Are they fresh on the scene, or have they been doing this for years?

Thanks to your position, people are inclined to assist you so long as you are in good standing. You are welcome in high society, and people assume you have the right to be wherever you are. If you are in your home nation, or one that your nation is officially allied with, you can arrange for you and your party to receive lodging of comfy level, the duration depending on why you are requesting lodging.
Suggested Characteristics
Diplomats are born and raised to a very different lifestyle than most people ever experience, and their personalities reflect that upbringing. A diplomat title comes with a plethora of bonds—responsibilities to country, to other diplomats, to the people entrusted to your care, or even to the title itself. But this responsibility is often a good way to undermine a diplomat.

You have the duty to teach up to three up and coming diplomats under your wing. These students can be full adults, of any race, or could even be a child being pushed into this career. Your students are nobles who can accompany you on your diplomatic and social duties, but they do not fight for you, will not follow you into obviously dangerous areas (such as dungeons), and will leave for a different teacher if they are frequently endangered or abused.
