The Hallowsong are a group of elven mages that teach young inexperienced children of any race that have shown early signs of magic. Rather than the normal use of classes the Hallowsong match a single mentor to a single child for the duration of their study creating an arcane bond. During the study, the mentor will help the child mold the magic they wield to their own desires. Many sorcerers, wizards, and eldritch knights have been produced from the Hallowsong and the bond between child and mentor never fades.
Whatever path your life has taken, your bond with your mentor (good or bad) is as strong as ever, allowing you the ability to communicate with each other.

Those accepted into the Hallowsong have had some form of outburst of magical ability that needs to be controlled. The outburst varies from individual to individual, but it shows something about your inner self. Choose what the situation of your outburst was or roll on the table below.

The arcane bond created with your Hallowsong mentor allows you to send messages with each other across vast distances. If you write a letter in special arcane ink, address it to your mentor, and complete the ritual of sending, the letter will be destroyed and materialize whole again of the body of your mentor (details up to you, try to make it thematic).
The ink used to send a letter to your mentor is the same as that used by a wizard to scribe spells in a spellbook. Writing a letter in this ink costs 10 gp per page.

Students of the Hallowsong have shaped their magic to their will and this shows in varied characteristics, from person to person. Although generally willing to learn, almost anyone, at any stage in life will be accepted to study if they are willing.
