Adopted By Industrious Dragonborn Image

Your earliest memories are flashes of a warmly smiling face, a metallic ping-ting, and strong, scaled arms around your tiny frame. As you grew older, it became clear you were not quite like your parents or siblings - the scales, for one, were a big clue. When you were old enough to ask why, your parents solved this particular mystery for you:

You were adopted.

These particular dragonborn supported your exploration of this revelation by continuing to treat you as part of the family: you still helped care for the forge, oil tools, run wire, change water; you were still part of the chore rotation for the house, and as you aged, the store; and you still were not permitted the keys to the chemical cabinet until your hands proved steady and your humor as respectful as mischievous. So, you continued to learn and grow surrounded by your family’s smithing ways, their chaos, and their love.

When it became apparent you were drawn to one particular facet of this trade, your parents presented you with apprenticeship opportunities within and without the family so you could develop your skills and talents as you chose. By your teens, your work was being sold in the family shop. As you entered young adulthood, your work had achieved regional renown for its quality and distinct spin on the family’s signature style. Through your diligence, attention to detail, skill, and commitment to your craft, you’ve built a fledgeling network of fellow artisans that stretches beyond your immediate region.
