Whether a farmhand or a miner, you have spent most of your life in labor. You may have been born a commoner or chosen the life of a laborer, but regardless, you've spent many years honing your skills in various jobs.
- Skill Proficiencies: Athletics and one other of your choice
- Tool Proficiencies: Vehicles (Land), and One type of artisan’s tools
- Equipment: A quarterstaff, 50 feet of hemp rope, a lucky charm such as a rabbit foot or a small stone with a hole in the center (or you may roll for a random trinket on the Trinkets table in chapter 5), a set of common clothes, and a pouch containing 10 gp
During your time as a laborer, you've played multiple roles, though you have eventually settled on one you've specialized in. Roll a d8 or choose from the options in the table below to determine your role.
| d8 | Specialty |
|---|---|
| 1 | Farmhand |
| 2 | Miner |
| 3 | Dockhand |
| 4 | Forester |
| 5 | Carter |
| 6 | Gravedigger |
| 7 | Messenger |
| 8 | Fisherman |
Since you've spent most of your life working among the common folk, you can find a laborer's job and a place to stay wherever you go, enough to cover a Poor Lifestyle. Whether the task is digging ditches or helping on a farm, you have the skills necessary to perform the task.
