Traveling Priest Image

You are not a simple initiate or an acolyte but a full member in the hierarchy of the religious institution you preach in. However, instead of staying in a temple or in city, you opted to travel and spread the message of your god. Your peers know of your dedication and respect you for your work since someone has to carry all important messages for church or go on far away pilgrimages. They are glad that you took that role so they can stay comfortably in one place.

When making a traveling priest, keep in mind that your deity may be watching your every move. You may not necessarily like traveling but you took on the role anyway, whether by choice or if it was mandatory. Also, consider the reason of why you begin your travels. Did the head priest of your temple ask you to or command you to? Are you traveling to preach of your religious views or to lead religious ceremonies in rural areas?

Feature: Friends of the Church

No matter where you go, you find people who are willing to help a priest or acolyte of the church. Small towns and villages sometimes need authority figures to hold religious rites such as weddings, coming-of-age ceremonies, funeral rites, etc. Of course the commonfolk would be willing put you up for night or help you with small favors or information. In large communities and cities, you should be able to find members of your church to help you when you are in need or people who are at least sympathetic to your cause. As a traveling priest, you are never without a friend.
