You may have served the community as a city or local investigator. Maybe where you grew up, maybe you were an investigator at another city and are new to this local. Either way, you're good at working with the local city watch, while also making inroads with some of those inclined towards the criminal elements. You're about finding cases, and solving them for coins. The level of challenge determines the price, but whatever the price, it better be enough to cover the costs of extensive stakeouts, observations, disguises, forgeries and whatever else you may need.
- Skill Proficiencies: Insight, Investigation, Perception, Persuasion
- Tool Proficiencies: One of the following: Disguise Kit, Forgery Kit, or Thieves' Tools
- Languages: One of your choice
- Equipment: Dark clothing, Fine Clothes, a set of manacles, a pouch containing 10 gp, and one of the following: disguise kit, forgery kit, thieves tools,
Feature: Private Eyes
Your experience in enforcing the law, and dealing with criminals, gives you a feel for local laws and criminals. You can easily find the local outpost of the watch or a similar organization, and just as easily pick out the dens of criminal activity in a community, although you’re more likely to be welcome in the former locations rather than the latter.
Suggested Characteristics
You are either tough as nails, or someone who is borderline charlatan. You get information through whatever means necessary. You're all about the win, and no so much worried about the methods used to get there.
