You are called when someone is injured, often severely.  Whether you're a cleric, or a rogue, you've learned to heal without the use of magic or divine intervention.  Medicine and the practice of medicine is important to you.  The various bodies, the various structures, blood flows, and more you find super fascinating.  You're in the city, and helping those who need it most, the hurt, the sick and the dying.

You've looked into the eyes of a newborn and into the eyes of an elderly person taking their last breath.  You do this because you enjoy the challenges and you want to help.  Or maybe you have a morbid side that being a medic allows you to fulfill.  Either way, you're the medic.
