These soldiers are a cut above the rest brought upon to break the deadlock of trench warfare, they are are a cut above the rest noted for physical stamina, personal bravery, and up close personal fighting with the enemy using sharpened shovels, knives that were more glorified spikes then blade, pistols, explosives, and clubs. Regardless of the time period they may exist in the style of warfare they practice is downright medieval and macabre in nature where only those who are brave, cunning, and durable would survive.

Your experience as a Trench raider carry's a powerful reputation, men know you are skilled at violence and constant job offers for work such as  assassination, debt collection, bodyguarding, combat sports etc. Most current and former soldiers will fear and respect you knowing what you are capable of,  and people in times of trouble will look to you for protection and many potential enemies may try to convince/bribe you to not take sides in any conflicts. Whether you accept those bribes and keep your word is up to you.

Suggested Characteristics

Most soldiers experience the horrors of war, but none of there's can compare to that of a trench raider. While most soldiers will go there entire career without using their weapon or having to cave in their enemies skull with a spiked club that's just another day on the job with you, chucking dozens of grenades into an enemy trench under the cover of darkness and finishing off the survivors by stabbing them in the throats was likely what you did on a boring day, maybe on Sundays you snuck into enemy trenches into the officers quarters you kidnapped a seasoned officer in their sleep only to watch him shit his pants in fear as soon as he laid eyes of you.  Needless to say the brutal nature of the profession lends itself to naturally cold, detached, and borderline psychopathic people, but those people might lack the natural sense of fear and danger that keeps you alive in this line of work but it is bound to shellshock the average man to hell. Either way your not leaving this job without trauma mental or physical. Perhaps you can use your skills to teach others to defend themselves as pence or maybe you have become cynical and don't give a damn about anything anymore.
