Fallen Archfey Image

Archfey were fey beings who gained nearly god-like powers and established a position of preeminence among fey-kind. Each archfey had a unique appearance and set of abilities, most controlled a portion of the Feywild and had self-proclaimed titles.

Some of them were powerful fey of many races, others were the awakened spirits of natural places such as forests or rivers, others the sentient incarnations of different types of animals, and others were noble eladrin so old and powerful they transcended the bounds of mortality.

Some archfey were regarded as deities and granted divine abilities to their worshipers. Archfey could be contacted by a willing warlock to form a fey pact.

Fallen Archfey were often the result the their supreme deity either dyeing,r the powers of nature being damaged or blocked out that connected to the material sphere, or someone from the Archfey's court cast them out. If Fallen Archfey are able to bring back the balance of nature and heal the wounds it suffered then power can be restored to the Fallen or they can petition with the court to be allowed reentry.

Feature: Command of the Archfey

Wherever you go, other fey recognize your ultimate authority. Most fey will obey commands you give them and will help you with anything you need. Fey from other courts are also obligated to help you if the relationship between your court and theirs is friendly. Courts that are opposed to yours will do anything short of killing you to slow your quest. Being an Archfey grants a mild charm effect even when not actively casting a spell that charms, this effect only works on those of weak mind or on animals, causing those who are affected to offer any services they possess or for animals to attempt to help you through non-magical means. You cannot command those who are affected, they are simply more receptive to your requests and are more likely to help you assuming that you have not done anything that would cause them to have a negative opinion of you.

Suggested Characteristics

Arch-Fey are not as enigmatic and mysterious as Great Old Ones, not as tangibly material and understandable as Fiends... they live in the secret places and other-ness of the world as it is, they understand their own kingdoms and politics and passions and culture, they even appreciate the deeper truths about other high-and-mighty beings like devils and demons and gods and ancient things.

But, they don't understand that mortals exist in the same way they do. Mortals are simple and weak and material--all of them, including the party. They are temporary. Brutish. Ugly. "Inhuman" or low-beings (in concept). The Arch-Fey would not understand that the humans of that valley have a city because they simply don't acknowledge there's a layer to reality where its possible for monkeys and pigs to write poetry.

Money makes ZERO sense to them. Gold is pretty, but so is everything else shiny. Power means absolutely nothing to them because they are the great rulers of their own reality where they are. An Arch-fey rules a domain of great and dangerous and small and wonderful and terrifying creatures larger than all the worlds of man combined. And instead of that stupid, pointless world of boring drudgery, the Arch-fey's domain is one where even the great spined dragons that fight their wars take to their knees as it passes.
