Perhaps you were lured into the woods as a child by an evil witch who used you for her own means, or maybe your parents where tricked, and forced to give you up as payment after making a deal with a Hag. Not all witches are evil however, and you may have had an enjoyable childhood. Whatever started you on this path, your time spent under the tutelage and watchful eye of your custodian has taught you much about the both the natural and the supernatural world. Many witches are proficient herbalists and healers, utilizing plants, herbs, fungi and other natural reagents to craft potions and poultices for a variety of uses. Others often employ divining techniques such as tarot or tasseomancy to gain glimpses of the future. After your unique upbringing, you now find yourself leaving you old life behind. Were you a held against your will and managed to escape? Perhaps you set out to form a coven of your own? What circumstance has set you on the path of adventure?

Witches tend to stay on the edges of society, if they interact with it at all. They are shaped by the few interactions with unique individuals such as their coven or those who would willingly go into a mysterious cabin in the woods, the solitary life shapes their attitudes and ideals. A few are driven slightly mad by their years apart from society.
