You come from a guild of Defenders and protectors. The shield wardens have protected those who cannot protect themselves and the people of the world for centuries and stand as champions of the people. When there are people who cannot protect themselves and the shield wardens stand up to protect them.

for one reason or another you have joined the Shield Wardens. The reason for joining the Shield Warden is different for every member but every single member has joined because of their desire to protect. Your desire could come from being protected as a child and wanting to pay it back or an experience in your youth that made you want to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Either way you have joined the shield wardens to protect all. Choose or randomly determine a defining event that made you want to join the Shield Wardens.

because you come from the rink the shield wardens, you are treated with the highest degree of honor from the people. When you enter a town or city the average person will not hesitate to to give you information or to answer questions that you have, so if they have reason to not trust you they will not speak the truth. You are also well trusted by the law and and you are given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to such legal affairs, so if you do commit a crime then you will still be punished.
