In modern campaigns, the hacker is one of the most important intel seekers one could know. Their knowledge of the makeup and processes of electronics allows them to find things no one else can.
- Skill Proficiencies: Investigation
- Tool Proficiencies: Tinker's tools
- Languages: Undercommon
- Equipment: Tinker's tools, a laptop, a keychain data drive, a small flashlight, 3 pieces of spare electronic components, and a wallet containing 10 gold pieces.
As a hacker, you can find information hidden in the code of many electronic devices. As such, you can spend one minute to use an electronic device of your own (one that at least has a screen) to access the code of another electronic device within 60 feet of you to gain access to its information.
You can choose to learn one of the following:
- The name of the device
- The name of any program used by the device
- The name of the owner of the device
- The name of the last person to service the device
- What the device is used for
- How long the device lasts on its current power source before needing to recharge
- How much longer the device can last before needing to recharge its power source
In order to learn multiple pieces of information from these choices, one minute must be spent for each option. If you choose to learn 3 of the options, you must spend 3 minutes doing so.
