Whether it be public school or private school, the ages of 13-18 are tumultuous for all. And you have the added bonus of having some special skill. Have you accidentally cast a cantrip when walking through the halls? Or maybe accidentally hit your bully back a little too hard... Perhaps you're at a school designed for magic kids and monsters! Whatever your situation, you're adapted to it in various ways.
- Skill Proficiencies: Survival, then choose one from History, Intimidation, Arcana, Athletics, Performance.
- Languages: You speak common, and any Standard language you might be learning in class.
- Equipment: Your typical school supplies (setting appropriate version of the Scholars Pack), an extra set of common clothes (gym clothes perhaps), and a water bottle/waterskin.
You and your classmates have all gone to school together since your early years, and thus even if you won't admit it, feel some level of obligation to most of each other. Your classmates don't want you driving drunk, and Mrs. Smith really doesn't want you to flunk out of graduation again this year. Because you've all known some of each other for a while, your peers and teachers will make an active effort to help you out if they ever see you in a sticky situation. (Degree of help is up to the DM's discretion.)
