You have a history piloting one or more types of aircraft for your village or nation. Whether that be in service to trade, the military, or some other reason is up to you, but the sky's your home, regardless. You can always be depended upon to find a faster way to a destination among the clouds.
Credit for this subclass goes to Bucktabulous on Reddit, who made it for a Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind inspired campaign, which is what I intend to use it for.
When you need to, you can secure free passage on a aircraft for yourself and your adventuring companions. You might fly in the craft you served on, or another aircraft you have good relations with (perhaps one captained by a former crewmate). Because you're calling in a favor, you can't be certain of a schedule or route that will meet your every need. Your DM will determine how long it takes to get where you need to go. In return for your free passage, you and your companions are expected to assist the crew during the voyage.
Suggested Characteristics
Pilots can be haughty and disappear at a moment's notice, but the responsibilities of flying and maintaining an aircraft make them generally reliable as well. Time among the clouds shapes their outlook and forms their most important attachments.
