You possess the silver-tongue for diplomacy. Leadership figures look to you to defuse (or incite) conflict. As a diplomat, negotiation is your trade and the fate of empires can be risen or sealed by your word. The diplomat is a skilled wordsmith and negotiator.
- Skill Proficiencies: Persuasion, Intimidation
- Languages: Any skilled diplomat is well versed in the inner workings of the various cultures and empires around them. Choose from any two languages in addition to common.
- Equipment: A bottle of black ink, a quill, a small knife, a letter from your last negotiation to be delivered to its recipient, a set of fine clothes, and a pouch containing 15 gp.
You have a knack for dealing with people; calming or enraging situations to see you fitting. You have advantage on Persuasion or Intimidation skill checks during negotiations between two or more parties that you are not part of (you may negotiate on behalf of one of these parties but you may not use it for the direct benefit of a conversation that you are the main beneficiary of). You may double your proficiency bonus on a Persuasion or Intimidation skill check once per long rest for negotiations like this.
