| d10 | Blood stained psyche |
|---|---|
You've executed so many, they all seem to run together. You are ashamed to have forgotten their names.
You resent the previous executioner that tricked you into taking his position.
Over time, your disgust began to wane. You abandoned your job out of fear you were beginning to enjoy executing.
Your king was morbid and sadistic, constantly inventing new ways to kill the condemned and forcing you to carry them out.
You were forced to behead your own grandfather, but could not object without endangering the rest of your family.
You were picked to be the executioner by a cruel king because you were terrible with an axe. You vowed to perfect your craft and keep your axe sharp if only out of mercy.
You perform self-flagellation nightly as punishment for all the injustice you carried out.
You drowned yourself with ale or other vice to cope with the guilt.
The faces of those who escaped, or bought their way free of your axe are the ones that haunt your the most.
When a noble framed your loved one you took it upon yourself to kill him and his entire family out of retribution. You got away with it, but the thought of the monster you've become haunts your waking dreams.
