From your earliest memories, you already knew something about you was different. The roles that were expected of you by your peers and those responsible for you felt stifling, as if they had seen something about you that wasn't there, assumed something about you that wasn't true. The way people looked at you on the street, the way you were treated by friends and strangers alike, wasn't mean or awful, but it just felt wrong, as if you were always expected to be someone or something you're not - as if you were born in the wrong body entirely.

And so, as you aged, you decided to change your body, and try to become the person you knew you were always meant to be. It was a long road, and it cost you much. Perhaps you've already succeeded, or perhaps you're still only partway through that journey.
