Chosen Image

Your origins are steeped in mystery. You were either discovered as a newborn, left upon the stoop of a hermit or sage, and taken in and raised and trained by them, or similarly discovered as an adolescent or amnesiac adult wandering the forest and taken in. You were left as a newborn, or discovered wandering with nothing but an amulet (or holy symbol) and a weapon bearing the same unique and indiscernible insignia as the amulet, a weapon with which you are inexplicably proficient. Your teacher/founder has come to realize that your affinity for the arcane is far beyond what they can manage, and having taught you all they could in what seems to have been an impossibly short time, they send you out to travel the world and learn everything you can, perhaps even to discover where you came from.
