You are the student of a school, a mage or even a blacksmith. You are often taught to listen to whoever is teaching you. You might be a wealthy person learning i a school of magic, a apprentice learning from there master, or someone in search of different kinds of knowledge. Or you could be an honest, hard-working landowner who cares a lot about about their dream career.

Work with your DM to come up with the appropriate kind of thing you are learning and determine how much you already know and what you don't. A student in an adventuring party is either with their teacher or lost them somehow and are in search of him. Not only do you need to determine the thing your learning, but you should also work with the DM to describe your teacher or school

if you like it or hate it, passionate or don't care. do you want to become the teacher eventually, are their other students, do they like you and do you like them

What’s your position to the teacher. Are you disposable, like family, why do they teach you, Or are you there to inheritance their knowledge, as long as you don’t betray them.

is your teacher/school well known?  do you wear particular things all the time as an apprentice/school uniform?
