In the past you, or at least a past incarnation of you, performed deeds noble and gallant enough that the divine realm sought fit to offer you a second chance at living. The man or woman you were before were widely regarded as a hero, perhaps even a martyr, and even in your new flesh you can feel some of that noble spirit within you. Your lot is one of destiny and purpose.

Defining Event

In your former life you pursued personal goals and accomplishments far before your ill-timed end. Perhaps you were a servant of the common folk idling your days as a farmer or miner before the call to adventure struck you, or perhaps you were a tradesman of some sort. Whatever your previous calling, you can feel a slight fondness for these things even if your current self doesn't practice these trades/professions. Choose or randomly determine a defining event that set your once ordinary life into motion as a true hero of the people.

Feature: Hero of Time

As a once-was hero of the past, people respect and generally refer to your past self in friendly terms, and you bear a birthmark that is identical to that of your original self, identifying you to some as the inheritor of your previous legacy. Over time (Every 2 levels) you will regain the knowledge and skills of your previous life's, as well as inklings of the personality you once held. These are randomly determined.

In addition, you have proficiency in all simple and martial weapons even if your class would normally restrict the usage of such things, which the exception of metal weapons/armor for druidic classes.

A Hero of Legacy was at one point a hero who gave their life to protect that which he or she deemed most important. Most such individuals feel some amount of burden in attempting to live up to the heroism of their past selves. Those who overcome this shadow however further the legend that your original self started, but there are some who succumb to the pressure and turn to darker paths.
