A Booyahg Booyahg Booyahg is a goblin sorcerer with the wild magic origin whose every casting, including cantrips, is accompanied by a wild magic surge. Only goblins can be a Booyahg Booyahg Booyahg. It is equal parts title and chant, derived from the utter obliviousness of goblins when it comes to the understanding and use of magic.
Goblins typically lack the intelligence and patience needed to learn and practice wizardry, and they fare poorly even when given access to the necessary training and knowledge. Even when a goblin is born with the ability to become a spellcaster, the knowledge and talent necessary to carry on the tradition rarely persists for more than a couple of generations. Because they have so little experience with magic, goblins make no distinction between its forms. To them all magic is “booyahg,” and the word is part of the name they give to any of its practitioners.
You are a rare type of goblin. Where did your abilities come from? Why are you no longer a part of a goblin tribe?
- Skill Proficiencies: Choose two from among Perception, Sleight of Hand, Survival, and Stealth.
- Tool Proficiencies: Disguise kit, Thieves' Tools
- Equipment: A small knife, a pet rat, a set of common clothes, a status symbol, and a pouch containing 15 gp
Goblins love symbols of authority, and thus the tribe’s boss often has such trappings wherever he or she goes. Such a symbol can take a typical form, perhaps a crown or a throne, but also can be a more distinctive object like a high-backed wolf saddle or colorful boots. The castes in a tribe also adopt symbols to indicate membership or kinship, but the symbols used are rarely the same between different tribes and often make little sense to other creatures.
As a Booyahg Booyahg Booyahg, you have been in the highest castes of a tribe. As an adventurer, you likely took your status symbols with you, either to remember the status you once held, or as hope of the status you may one day regain. Some possible status symbols are given in the Status Symbols table. You might display more than one of these items.

A goblin tribe is organized in a four-tiered caste system made up of lashers, hunters, gatherers, and pariahs. The closest thing a goblin tribe has to nobility is the caste of lashers — families of goblins trained in the ways of battle, and also possessed of key skills. If the tribe has any spellcasters, this caste includes them. This is because spellcasters of any sort among the goblins are rare, so a goblin with access to booyahg automatically becomes a member of the lashers and can often rise to the role of boss.
As a Booyahg Booyahg Booyahg, even goblins from other tribes will likely recognize your potential power and status. This might give you sway over goblins of lower castes, whether they fear you enforcing your will upon them or respect you as a potential savior from the tyrannical boss of their tribe.
Suggested Characteristics
Booyahg Booyahg Booyahg's tend to be more arrogant and domineering than other goblins due to the combination of their rare abilities and high status in the tribe's caste system. They may want to use this often undeserved confidence to do things that most goblins would never realistically be able to achieve on their own, such as become powerful, take over a tribe without the need for cunning manipulation, or legitimately attempt to become a force of unexpected good.
