Whether you are deep undercover as a spy or a general gatherer of intelligence, you work to uncover as many truths as possible wherever you go. Your true purpose is to scuttle information back to your superiors, be they a government, military, or even a small group of extremely powerful individuals.
You are fiercely loyal to your organization. You either express your affiliation outwardly as a show of authority or keep it a closely guarded secret and only expose yourself when codewords and creeds make it clear that you are interacting with another member.
You are most likely not aware the complete picture of how your information is used by you do believe in the ends it will achieve, regardless of what those ends may be. You have an iron will and unshakeable core values that what you do is the right thing. How your ends are achieved are up to you. Perhaps you believe the only reliable information is that which is given freely. Maybe you believe the best information is that which is personally observed without the notice of others or through subtle subterfuge. However, some still believe in the old ways, and violence and coercion are the only true methods of information gathering.

You know a set of creeds and codewords that help you identify other members of your organization, and they can identify you through similar means. If your organization is hierarchical or structured, you have a separate set of creeds and codewords that will let members of your organization know exactly where you belong within that organization. You carry or wear a set of hidden credentials that seem mundane, or are altogether hidden, to everyone but members or your organization. Codewords can activate additional credentials that, through magical means, authenticate you as a member if your DM allows.
You can send messages over great distances through your network of members through dead-drops or other members you come into contact with. You are able to send and receive messages through this network and are able to identify them as authentic.
Suggested Characteristics
Your moral fabric is tied to the organization you serve. You believe in the goals of that organization and bind yourself to the ends they attempt to achieve. These goals may or may not be known to you. Regardless, your alignment is considered to be more loose than the standard member of that organization to allow for the more surgical tasks that might be required of you.
