You're always looking at the world through a different set of lenses, so to speak, than everyone else. You are always interested in anything that seems mechanical in nature. Your curious mind is always making schematics for new and unique items, trinkets, and even weapons. You've made a living in life repairing and preforming general maintenance of such items. You've become quite good over the years at your job and your fingers have become nimble enough to allow for very intricate workings with small devices, which has allowed you to become adept at making those designs and dreams into a reality.
- Skill Proficiencies: Investigation, and choose one of the following: Perception, Slight of Hand, or History.
- Tool Proficiencies: Proficiency - Choose a Tool - Alchemist's Supplies, Jeweler's Tools, Smith's Tools, Tinker's Tools, Woodcarver's Tools
- Languages: Through your many dealings with some of the best tinkerers around, many of which are Gnomes, you have learned to speak Gnomish.
- Equipment: A set of Tinker’s tools, a small assortment of tinkering supplies (springs, cogs, levers, gears, valves, ball bearings, etc.), an abacus, a set of traveler's Clothes, a pouch containing 10 GP.
Through your many experimental successes and failures you have learned how to salvage, even the smallest of components. When you fail a check using your Tinkerers Tools you can salvage at least half the components you used.
Additionally, when you do an Intelligence (Investigation) Check that pertains to anything mechanical in nature you have advantage on the roll.
Suggested Characteristics
