Spark Of The Planeswalker Image

You are defined by a life altering event, crisis or trauma that sparked something deep inside you. It may have been a near-death experience, a profound insight, heart-breaking sorrow or something so terrible that you dare not speak of it. Whatever the triggering event, it lit a spark inside you that only one in a billion posses. In that moment, you disappeared from your old life in a flash and found yourself exhausted and disoriented as you looked around on an alien land. You had become a Planeswalker and taken the first step into an infinite adventure.

Planeswalkers are beings who possess inner magics that allow them to pinch reality between worlds and walk from one plane of existence to another at will. This ability is now a permanent part of you that will forever define your life. The endless possibilities of exploration, knowledge and power are now only a step 

Your ability to Planewalk will be equal parts gift and curse. The thirst for exploration and adventure will make it almost impossible to settle in one place for long. Despite building vast networks of contacts across many worlds, you will likely remain isolated from most people who‘s lives are chained to one small world in a vast sea of many.

Your very existence as a Planeswalker is inextricably tied to the Tapestry. Your first step has placed you at the precipice of greatness or great peril. Where your next steps take you will have repercussions that echo across hundreds of worlds.

Skill Proficiencies: In your travels, you have been exposed to knowledge, experiences and dangers others could only dream of. To survive in unknown alien worlds, you have developed eclectic skills. Choose any two skills to become proficient in as a Planeswalker.
Tool Proficiencies: You have become proficient in the use Navigator's Tools to orient yourself on newly discovered worlds quickly. 
Languages: Your travels have exposed you to many exotic languages of different worlds, choose any two languages to become proficient in.
Equipment: Backpack, set of Traveler's clothes, Bedroll, Blanket, Mess kit, Rations, Tinderbox and trinkets of personal significance from your travels.
 
The Spark Event

Prior to becoming an adventurer, your life was defined by one exceptional moment, one fateful decision, an amazing insight or horrible tragedy. This moment ignited dormant magic inside you called The Spark. It awakened your Planeswalker abilities. Choose a Spark Event that defined you, or roll one on the Spark Events Table.

1 A monster was slaughtering dozens of innocent people, You were next! You closed your eyes as it grabbed you and everything went quiet.
2 You were born under a dark red star. You’ve always felt it watching you, cold and distant. Then in the dead of night, you were shocked when it spoke in your mind. "Be Gone!" And you were.
3 An apparition that haunted your family for generations took interest in you. You didn't know what it wanted. When you finally summoned the courage to confront it without fear, your world vanished around you.
4 Your family had a history of practicing dark arts that you were forced into. While in a dark ritual, you felt something sinister reach out for your soul. In a panicked desire to flee, you suddenly found yourself in a sunny field.
5 An Oni took your sibling one cold, dark night right in front of you. Helplessly paralyzed by fear, you finally opened your eyes to find a bustling market where everyone spoke an alien dialect.
6 You were cursed with lycanthropy and haunted by the innocents you slaughtered by moonlight. later you were cured by an excruciating procedure that made you pass out. You awoke in a strange land.
7 A Hag kidnapped and tortured you. As she prepared to devour your broken body, you summoned one last gasp of strength, straining against your restraints, when you suddenly collapsed into a dark cave. Echoes of your heavy breathing your only company.
8 Opening an eldritch tome, you saw things unfit for a sane mind. As its words and images burned into your psyche, it unlocked a spark you never knew was there. As your mind cleared you found yourself in a forest alone.
9 A fiend possessed your mother and forced you to helplessly watch as it tortured and kill the rest of your family before turning the knife on herself. The superstitious townsfolk blamed you. As the mob beat you, you disappeared to gasps.
10 You obsessively studied the lore of your world, always finding inconsistencies that hinted to something greater. One day you had a profound revelation. As you turned to tell the Maesters you found yourself treading water in a lake.
 
Feature: Planeswalk / Planeswalker’s Escape

Planeswalk- Once per long rest, You can perform a one minute ritual that allows you to harness the dimensional magics coursing through your body. At the end of the ritual, you instantaneously teleport along with your carried possessions from your current plane of existence to another in the multiverse.

You can choose your destination as any Plane you have previously visited when you use Planeswalk. Alternatively, you can travel to a random Plane in the Multiverse chosen at DM's discretion. When arriving in a new Plane for the first time, the location is randomly determined. This arrival location will remain the same for all subsequent visits to that Plane unless changed via the Create Tether ability granted by Master of the Blind Eternities Feat.

On rare occasions you may meet other Planeswalkers. When Planeswalkers travel, they leave behind a detectable trace that other Planeswalkers can sense for a short time. You can follow another Planeswalker to their destination, even if you haven't been there before, if you travel from the same spot within 10 minutes of them using their Planeswalk ability. After 10 minutes, the energies have dissipated too much to follow.  

Planeswalker’s Escape- As a Reaction, When you take lethal damage, you can make a Charisma saving throw (DC equal to the excess damage taken beyond 1hp). On a successful save, you take no damage and instead immediately activate your Planeswalk ability, escaping to a random destination chosen at DM's discretion.

1 I can't be bothered by petty squabbles. There are bigger problems to deal with somewhere.
2 I like to read and memorize poetry from different worlds. It keeps me calm and brings me fleeting moments of happiness.

5 I don’t talk about my gift. I’d rather not burden others with the curse of knowing they are so trapped and limited.

5 I was the unintentional bringer of doom to a world without hope. It haunts me forever.
6 I only have limited control over where I Planewalk to. It is just as often as not, random.
