You were banished from your tribe or people, this happened as a result of some great offense, whether real or imagined. Perhaps framed for some heinous deed by a jealous rival in your tribe, right before you were set to take on a role of great importance among your people. This is but one of the potential tales of an Exile. With your DM, come up with the ways your time out in the world makes you reflect on the past and what glory that future adventuring may restore to your reputation.

Feature: Call to Arms
Your people have roaming warriors and sometimes allies around the game world, these agents may be willing to give you aid depending on how you have proven yourself in exile. When seeking aid in a large settlement or city, roll percentage dice, if the number rolled is equal to or less than your total level x 5, you find npc's willing to give you aid to the extent of the DM's discretion. At 20th level there will always be a footman or ways of reaching out to your people nearby. Going this far as an adventurer may lead to a possible reconciliation with your people depending on the circumstances.
Suggested Characteristics
Being exiled from your people has likely caused a serious wound to your pride and identity, having no stake left with those who raised you can become a motivation for adventuring, perhaps giving you the desire to forge your own destiny from the peasant you once were.
