Adept (Water) Image

The spellcasters in the world of Weyard are called Adepts, all naturally drawing power from one of the four elements. You are one of these spellcasters, and your controlled element is water. According to legend, as a water adept, you are descended from the Goddess Mercury, and you may exhibit some similar traits to depictions of the goddess. Your hair and/or eyes might have a blue or teal hue, and your body temperature might be slightly colder than average.

Skill Proficiencies: Insight, Perception
Tool Proficiencies: Choose either Navigator's Tools or Vehicles (Water)
Languages: Primordial (Aquan Dialect)
Equipment: A bottle of black ink, a quill, a small knife, a lapiz lazuli pendant, a set of common clothes, and a pouch containing 10 gp

Feature: Child of Mercury

As a Water Adept, you can interact with certain magical objects, blessed by Mercury, that would be mundane to others. You have a natural affinity for water, and can sense it's presence. You might be able to accurately predict the next rainfall, or navigate to a source of fresh water while lost in the wilderness. Cold or humid climates don't seem to bother you as much as others, but hot, dry biomes will leave you feeling drained or uneasy.

In addition, if you have the Spellcasting or Pact Magic feature, the spells on the Water Adept Spells table are added to the spell list of your spellcasting class. (If you are a multiclass character with multiple spell lists, these spells are added to all of them.)
