As a pit fighter, you're trained to fight without mercy. Before you escaped, your world consisted of brutal fighting and time spent maintaining, improving, or crafting weapons to use while fighting. You weren't born to it, and you didn't choose it, but you did survive it by winning no matter what. Now that you're free of that life you haven't lost the merciless fighting techniques, though you've tempered it so you can fight without killing someone. You use this fighting ability to make money, earn room and board, or get supplies if needed.
- Skill Proficiencies: 2 skills from Acrobatics, Athletics, Intimidation, Performance, Survival
- Tool Proficiencies: 2 tools from Cobbler's Tools, Leatherworker's Tools, Smith's Tools, Tinker's Tools
- Equipment: An inexpensive but unusual weapon, a reminder of your childhood (Trinket), Traveling clothes, and a pouch containing 10 gp
Feature: Underground Fight Club
Within a few hours of arriving in a new town, you can find the place (if there is one) that offers money or trade for fighting and putting on a good show. Payment takes the form of money, supplies, food, or lodging. You enjoy the fighting but you're careful to never permanently disfigure or kill anyone. When you visit towns where you've fought you may encounter fans who've seen you fight. They will offer to buy you an ale in order to relive the highlights of your best fights. This requires very little participation by you beyond general agreement and an occasional growl or pantomimed swing of your weapon.
Suggested Characteristics
Entertainment fighters have to be able to capture and hold an audience’s attention, so they tend towards either savage or theatrical fighting methods, sometimes both.
