You spent your life killing monsters, which probably led up to your being an adventurer. Whether you scouted the edges of civilization looking for common threats or traveled deep into the wilderness to battle true beasts, you always valued the death of your inhuman enemies the most. You're the one they go to when something horrific rears it's head on the outskirts of town. Less a valiant hero they turn to, but more just someone to get the job done. There's nothing fancy to this line of work, life is gold pieces and wyvern tails to you. Some towns may hate you, others praise you, but one thing's for sure. The job gets done.
You are a professional... nothing more, nothing less. You don't typically travel from town to town to save the common masses from monstrosities out of the good of your heart. That's a job for paladins and knights. From a lowly goblin infestation to a wyvern attack, you have prepared for any situation and deal with it accordingly. For the right price...
Your hunting experience has left you with a foul tale to tell your adventuring group. Before becoming an adventurer, life as a monster hunter granted your it's fair share of horrific tales and experiences. Some may stick in your mind and haunt you, others you tell to locals around a flagon of ale, and occasionally there's nothing better than a recollection of slaughtering a beast to terrify that drunkard stealing coppers.
