You've been a staple in the tavern and bar community for years. You have moved between a few different places and have a well built customer base and are well liked by a majority of the population. 

People are comfortable around you and open up to you, or at least talk freely around you. Knowing that you've been in the business long enough where you know how to keep a secret, you pick up a lot of rumors and overhear a lot of talk about.... everything. 

You have the ability to blend in with almost all local communities, be part of the crowd easily, some times you even get asked for directions in places you're visiting for the first time. 

You see creatures from every walk of life and you are especially good at reading people. Making some snap judgements about peoples intentions has saved your skin more times then you could count. 

Skill Proficiencies: With seeing so many different customers, you learn to read people gaining proficiency in insight.

You're cool head and unphasable personality you gain proficiency in persuasion, able to weave your way through multiple different factions and warring gangs while staying neutral.  

You gain a proficiency bonus in perception as you have become able walk in to a room and notice the mostly unseen patterns, how people are sitting, the dark and brooding types in corners, and who might be the guy who throws the first punch. 

Languages: You learn thieves cant inherently just from picking it up over time, in addition you learn 1 language out of, elvish, dwarvish, draconic, halfling, goblin, giant, orcish or gnomish.  You learn over the years many languages, but only a few words in each. 

Equipment: As a good bartender you never go far without a set of dice and a deck of cards.

Highly charismatic and street smart. Possible gambling addiction and not a lot of care for holding on to money. Always knows that whats lost can be regained.
